A Case for Andy Reid

Posted: December 13, 2012 in Philadelphia Eagles

While the talk is that after the final game of the 2012 season, Philly’s coach Andy Reid will be fired. You have heard the talk to death. “He lost the locker room”, “he lost the players”, “he lost his desire to coach”. Bull! Crap!!

Andy Reid just needs a little time to heal after the lost of his son. While I won’t argue that he would be better off with a new team, his current one can be just what he needs next season.

I can’t imagine what it must be like to go to work and be reminder of a child that has past away. His son hung out at the stadium with his father. That has to be a tough gig for any body.

Andy has been a professional and does his job. He will go home for the summer and maybe even get a chance to heal with his family.

Next season he will be find. He will need a very good defensive coordinator though. The team has never been the same since Jimmy Johnson past away. They don’t rush the passer like that use to and they don’t create turn overs like they use to.

Give Andy a break, he has earned it. A winning coach doesn’t always wear championship rings. Besides, who is available that is so much better?
